The New Year is a great opportunity to set goals and plan new projects. Before we leave December, I hope you will visit my interview on the Writers of the West blog site created by Jean Henry Mead at http://writersofthewest.blogspot.com/ The interview will be featured for a few days until the end of 2010.
The interview was a great exercise to review my writing life, where I have been, and where I am going. In years past, my New Year’s Resolution was usually to “write a book”, then to “have a book published”. Six titles later, I hope to broaden my audience and horizons as an author.
In a few days, I will be meeting with Filter Press to discuss my seventh book, Baby Doe Tabor: Matchless Silver Queen. It is scheduled for publication early in 2011. Also, watch for my article in the next Women Writing the West e-newsletter, and an article for the Colorado Authors’ League, also on their web site. I am working on presentations for local genealogy societies, a new position on the board of the Columbine Genealogical and Historical Society, and a history symposium presentation for the Pikes Peak Library District in June. Watch my appearance schedule for further details and developments.
Have a wonderful and prosperous New Year!
