Joyce Lohse is available to write articles and develop research on many subjects. Her main area of expertise pertains to American Western History and the Rocky Mountain Region. Her articles have been published in True West, Steamboat, and Women Out West magazines. She has presented at Pikes Peak Library District History Symposia, and her writings have been included in resulting publications. In June 2011, she presented research on Pikes Peak area pioneer view photographer William E. Hook, and wrote his biography for a pioneer display at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs.
An experienced genealogist, Joyce has supplied reports containing researched information and photographs from the Denver area to clients seeking data from repositories, public records, and cemeteries. Photographic abilities include on location shots of buildings and at cemeteries, and searches for historic photos. She has served for more than eight years on the board of directors of the Columbine Genealogical and Historical Society, and has made presentations to that group on several occasions. Joyce has developed many resources and maintains a reputation for excellence.
