A new dawn . . . and a FREE Offer!
Finally, after two years of total renovation, the e-book version of A Yellowstone Savage: Life In Nature’s Wonderland has gone live on Amazon.com. I am excited to present an old story, newly polished with additional B/W and color photographs. The new edition celebrates the 25th Anniversary of its initial publication, and the 40th Anniversary of the year the Yellowstone Savages met, became friends, and invaded our oldest and largest national park. I am grateful to my trusty hub and partner, Don in Technology, for bringing my equipment and software up to date, and for the ongoing support and shared adventures.
As a special offer to friends of LohseWorks, a download of the e-book version of A Yellowstone Savage will be available FREE from Friday, May 24 through Sunday, May 26! Yes, this Download promotion is absolutely FREE! Go to the listing on Amazon.com next Friday through Sunday at: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CTSA7BI
I will monitor the listing and add updated instructions on my Facebook page, should the need arise: https://www.facebook.com/joyce.lohse?ref=tn_tnmn
With summer under way in Colorado, I am anticipating some great events around the Front Range and in the high country. The Baby Doe event in Leadville is coming together. It will be hosted by the National Mining Hall of Fame and Museum. Cost will be $50 for non-members, and $45 for members of their organization. Baby Doe fans should not miss this one, and plan to stay overnight in Leadville if possible. I will present a program at the banquet in her honor on Saturday, June 29, followed by a jaunt out to the Matchless Mine where Mrs. Tabor lived during the last 35 years of her life. On Sunday, we will tour Tabor mine properties in the Leadville district, ending up at the Matchless for more tales, conversation, and booksigning. If you wish to reserve limited space for this memorable event, contact the National Mining Hall of Fame and Museum, or let me know.
Also, be sure to come by Booth 63 at Burro Days in Fairplay, the weekend of July 27 and 28. We will be celebrating books, history, and burros during two days of festive fun and burro races.
Enjoy your summer, and if you can, visit some great historical sites!
